Since 1996 Equiberia has been in the business of creating the most interesting horse riding holidays to share with you the less known and best preserved sites of Spain, its countryside, its culture and its tradition. Each horse trail ride has been carefully designed to capture the best of a particular region of Spain.
Equestrian vacations for the lovers of the nature and the horses; for the gourmets who like to taste the flavour of a different cuisine and the exquisite Spanish wines; for the travellers who like to experience the life and the traditions of a different culture on horseback. Horse riding tours with beautifully trained Andalusian horses willing to take you through the wonderful landscapes of the hidden Spain.
We are based in the Sierra de Gredos, in Central Spain, a magic place for riding with great blue skies, magnificent landscapes, wild open spaces, and remote medieval villages. We have our own stables and beautiful horses. We offer a selection of rides in other regions of Spain created with local partners, accompanied by Equiberia, and up to the standards of the Equiberia rides.
Riders coming back year after year are our best referral. We put all our effort and dedication in trying to make each of our rides a very special time for you.

We had an overall fun ride with Equiberia. Best things were how friendly the girls at the barn were and the horses were very well trained and cared for. We saw some incredible sights too.

However, we should have been made aware before our trip that Maria Elena does not really lead rides anymore and wouldn’t be leading ours. She does not live in Spain anymore so not sure why the website reads that she does all the rides. My mom had a previous trip with this company 5 years ago and was sending emails saying how excited she was to see her again and they never mentioned she wasn’t going to be leading it. Also, my mom and I were the only ones in our group and the team didn’t share this fact with us in advance. They said they were nervous to tell us it would just be us so didn’t mention until our first night dinner together. It wouldn’t have affected our choice to come to Spain, but we would have brought less stuff in general. It made us wonder why they wouldn’t have been upfront? Communication needs to be improve a bit. They also only asked my mom her food preferences for lunches and I was wondering why they never asked me too since there was only 2 people in our group lol. I am 34 years old and an adult so not sure why it wasn’t a priority to ask me as well. Fish lasagna isn’t really my thing.

Also, I would say the Sierra de Gredos ride is more of a sightseeing trip not really a riding trip. We didn’t trot or canter for longer than 5 minutes total in a 6.5 hour day of riding. If you like being one with nature and long walks on horseback through the mountains, this is the trip for you.

Overall the trip was fun, but would have been better had they been honest about key parts in advance of our arrival and had more upfront communication.
